U.S. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow Visits Korean Minjok Leadership Academy

On Thursday, February 22, at 2:45 p.m., U.S. Ambassador to Korea Alexander Vershbow will visit Korean Minjok Leadership Academy, or KMLA, in Hoengseong, Gangwon province. KMLA is Korea’s first boarding school. With its innovative curriculum, KMLA has distinguished itself as one of the top private high schools in Korea. Ambassador Vershbow will deliver a speech to faculty and students at the academy entitled, "Leadership Principles and Practices: Examples from American History.” 

Following remarks by Mrs. Vershbow, both the Ambassador and Mrs. Vershbow will engage in a question-and-answer session with Minjok students.  Ambassador Vershbow will also perform on the drums with the school’s rock band, Fill-In the Music.
