2009 Study of the United States Institute
for Korean Undergraduate Student Leaders
U. S. Embassy Seoul Public Affairs Office is announcing opportunities for the participation of Korean undergraduate students in the Study of the U.S. Institute program. The program is to take place over the course of six weeks from January 05 to February 13, 2009. The institute will be hosted by the University of Chicago.
The participants are expected to be highly motivated and exemplary undergraduate students from colleges, universities, and other institutions of higher education in South Korea who demonstrate leadership through academic work, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. All participants will have a good knowledge of English.
ALL COSTS will be covered by Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in Department of State, U.S., including program administration, international , domestic travel and ground transportation, books, cultural activities, mailing and incidental allowances, housing and subsistence. Under no circumstances are participants allowed to arrive in the U.S. prior to the start date of the institute or remain in the U.S. after its end date. Similarly, participants will not be allowed to leave the institute to visit relatives or friends while in the U.S. Application form and more detailed information can be found from the attached documents.
